Posting Photos

To post photos, you have a couple of different options.

You can make use of a free image hosting service such as flickr, Photobucket, ImageShack, etc.. Follow the instructions on the respective sites to upload photos for hosting. Once your photos have been uploaded, you'll want to obtain the [IMG] code for each particular image that you wish to include in your post. Again, your image hosting site should have instructions on how to do this. Once you've obtained/copied the [IMG] code, you can simply paste it into your post on this forum. Alternatively, you can obtain the web address (URL) for each particular photo from your image hosting site by right-clicking on the image and select the "Properties" option from the menu. Then copy the Address (URL). [NOTE: on a Mac, you can simply CTRL+ click on the image you wish to post and select "Copy Image Address" from the menu.]. Once you've copied the image address, it can then be pasted into your post on this forum by selecting the "Insert Image" option (the icon of an image with mountains and the sun) when creating or editing your post. After clicking on the Insert Image option, you'll be prompted to insert the web address that you obtained from your image hosting site. After entering this information, your photo will be presented inline as part of your post.

If none of the above makes sense, you might try searching YouTube for videos of how to post images on forums.

There is also the option to add images as attachments. The attachment option is located near the bottom of the post creation/edit window. You'll be asked to search your computer for the file(s) that you wish to upload. A thumbnail of each file chosen will then be displayed as part of your post. Users viewing your post will then be able to click on the thumbnails to display the full sized images. Picture attachments are restricted to 250 kilobytes in size or less.
