RE: 2018 West Coast Rally
I had the pleasure of getting together with Jonz earlier this evening. Talking to Jon, I got the impression that those of you who were lucky enough to gather in Idaho this year had a great time. I was already excited about the suggested location for the upcoming 2018 West Coast Rally. After talking with Jon, that interest level just jumped a couple more notches.
Really nice chatting with you Jon — I really appreciate you taking time from visiting with family to get together with me for a beer. Thanks again for the Idaho Rally t-shirt!
By the way, I've already had one fairly new member to the forum contact me with interest in gathering here in Portland and riding down to southern Oregon together.

RE: 2018 West Coast Rally
I’d like to put this in my plans if we can get some interest from the other Bay Area riders.

Medford is a 5 hour ride for me. I would love to see Crater Lake.

RE: 2018 West Coast Rally
I've enjoyed visiting both Crater Lake and the Grand Canyon. I can't help but be impressed by the Grand Canyon given it's sheer size. Still, Crater Lake is nothing to sneeze at. While the Grand Canyon was formed over the course of many millions of years, Crater Lake was the result of a massive explosion. I can somewhat wrap my mind around million years of erosion, but have a hard time trying to imagine the size of the explosion responsible for Crater Lake.
A rally that would provide options of riding both to Crater Lake and the California redwoods is pretty mind-boggling as well, lol.

Would be easy for us to pick up egleaves in Sac along the way.

First time I've been on in a while, Medford area sounds good. If knee joint replacement is successful and healed I will attend. Thanks again Kenny for taking the lead in this. All of the CB1000 forum members have a happy new year.

Hey Kevin, good to hear from you! Jonz and I were just reminiscing about the ride we all took together around Mt Hood last year along with your nephew. I for one hope that your knee replacement is a success and that it heals quickly as I'd like to get a chance to go riding with you once again at this rally.

Thanks Guth I really enjoyed that ride also. Like they say you meet the nicest people on a Honda.
A little bumbed about missing the Idaho rally though. Hopefully I will be able to meet some of them at this one.

RE: 2018 West Coast Rally
Hey kenny, I'm curious if you have any further thoughts regarding more specific dates? If this ends up being the location/plan then I'd like to go ahead and start to make appropriate plans for time off from work, etc. earlier rather than later if possible. Thanks for getting this rolling!
