It wasn't available in the US until 2013 and at that point retail was right at USD 9,999 or you could get that ABS model for 1,000 more. However, I have not seen a single other one on the road where I live and we host the second or third largest bike rally in the country.

It was a sad thing in the US to watch this bike go to the rest of the world and not here for 3 model years. I hope that it'll stay around a while and come back to Australia. I'd love to see year after year and then new generations of this bike. It'd be cool to see smaller versions too - a rebirth of the 750 for example. Hang in there!

We in Britain also didn't see it until about March 2013. It was up for £8999 with a good finance deal (3.9% apr over 36 months with £99 deposit)

I fell in love when I sat on the bike but passed on it. The same bike got registered as a demo and in almost a year of service covered only 104 miles.

I saw it drop to £8499 as an ex demo when taken off the road, but passed.

Finally it hit £7999 and I passed, but began negotiating.

£7600 was the deal I struck. Nice. What a lot of bike for the money.

Sadly. As others have pointed out a poor sales performance generally negates a machines chances of being re-ordered, and it sounds like it was even more of an acquired taste in Australia than in Britain.

I won't be surprised at all if it doesn't make a comeback in Britain for 2015.

I've never seen one on the road, and nor have I met anyone who has other than mine.

We're predominantly Adventure bike, sports bike or tourer buyers over here. Retro nakeds are just too niche.

Tortuga, this is a silly question because you've mentioned looking at other forums elsewhere, but do you know about the UK CB1100 forum http://www.cb1100.co.uk/index.php?action=forum?

Seems there are few other CB100 rides in Blighty.

The CB1100 even in the USA is a slow seller. Most guys over the age of. 50 buy them. Most people don't know how nice they are till they ride one. Honda can't afford to keep building such a bike with low sells. Buy the end of this year the 14 will drop in price at dealers. Lots of dealers still have the 13 models it's sad but true. I don't know how many members are on this forum but only about 10 of us have the deluxe model I found a deluxe at a dealer today one state next to me for $10,400 in stock. & he has 4 13 models left over.

Yes, I'm a member there too, but it reflects the bikes (lack of) popularity in the United Kingdom as there's very little activity on it..so I come here more for the buzz of the place.

Thanks for the tip though...

One dealer here recently advertised two white 13 ABS (as all UK bikes are) models. Brand new, unregistered for £7995.

£395 more than I paid but an absolute bargain all the same.

(A Gold Wing is £24995)
