setting up the tumbler on the Honda one key system
I put my key in and guessed which tumbler went in each slot and put them in one at a time until all were in and none were protruding. Don’t put the last one in yet.
Then I put the cylinder in the lock to make sure it operated correctly.
Then grease it up, put in the last, stopper tumbler (which keeps the cylinder from coming out) and install with a twist per the picture.
I hope this helps.

This product is the key of the vehicle by combining three types of tumblers
You can make a key cylinder that fits.

I tried transferring the diagrams that came with these instructions with no luck. Maybe someone else can post a reply with the pics. Didn't work for me.

Ferre There are supposed to be pictures with that. Didn't they come through?

Hiker, One Key--you buy Honda accessories like the top box or bike lock and key the tumbler to match your bike key.
Naturally there are two types of keys. Webike has a pic of that. I can send that to ferret too so he can post it.

The tumbler is a separate purchase and comes with a kit to set it. But the instructions are in Kanji. A member whose username I can't remember sent me a translated instruction. It is supposed to have pictures. I may have to resend it to ferret, or he just hasn't posted them yet.

Edit to add: Its a Honda thing, not a DLX thing.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it!

No, we can do that with our 13's also. It depends on the accessory. Like that loop lock that sites under the seat, you key that to your one ignition/bike key.

I think this was brought up from a case someone bought for their 14 bike.

Ack,

LOL I've never used my lock either after all that work. And I was too lazy to look up the old thread...

I did finally buy the big rubber band from Takashi and retired the radar o-ring.

OK. Here's another go at posting these instructions. I got 'em from popgun who got them from someone else whose partner kindly translated them. I'm happy to acknowledge that person if I can find their username. I've tried to tidy the translation up a tiny little bit. I'm also happy to edit the post if people can point out ways to improve it.

Instructions for Honda One-Key System

This product uses the key of the vehicle so that, by combining three types of tumblers, you can make a key cylinder that fits.

1. Combine the three types of tumbler to make the key cylinder that fits your key.
Tumbler A, B, C

İmage

2. Use 5 Tumblers( A) to fit into the cylinder after the spring.

İmage

3. Hold tumbler and key cylinder on top and insert the key to find out if any tumbler comes out high or low.

İmage

4. Pull the key out from the cylinder, holding these cylinders from the top. (Note: presumably this means the cylinders that are high or low in the previous step.)

İmage

5. Exchange Tumblers that came out when you insert your key to Tumblers B. (keep the springs inside)

İmage

6. Repeat this step (A to B to C) until no tumbler comes out when you insert key. (Hold on top so that you push tumblers to pop out and disassemble.)

İmage

7. Insert the key cylinder into the inner cylinder as shown in the Figure below and confirm that the inner cylinder turns smoothly.

8. Pull out the key cylinder from the inner cylinder. Hold lightly from the top tumbler, pull out the key. Install the Stopper Spring (black) and stopper tumbler as shown in the Figure.

İmage

9. Insert the key, as shown in the Figure. Then, pressing lightly on the tumbler and inserting the key, confirm that the stopper tumbler pops.

İmage

10. Apply the grease in the position shown in the Figure, with a thin coating on the tumbler’s inner cylinder. Please do not use grease other than the supplied grease.

İmage

11. Attach the Stop Tumbler while rotating the inner cylinder along the slide. Guide the stopper tumbler.

If the inner cylinder does not turn on, please double-check to see whether something other than the stopper tumbler not jumping out is happening.

İmage

12. Push while turning to the right.

İmage

13. Pull out the key to make sure inner cylinder does not comes out.

Disclaimer: I've no idea whether these are right. Consult an expert before following them!

Seems like what I did for the side cases on my wife's CTX -- it's huge pain in the ass. lol
