I'm pretty sure I won't have to replace them. Given the amount of mud and dirt on the forks, I suspect that I just have some dirt built up in the seals. I have one of those overpriced Sealmate tools that slides between the tube and the seal to clean out the dirt. I used it a few weeks ago on my CB750 and it worked quite well.

Given my recent troubles with dirty fork seals, I'm definitely considering gaiters the next time the forks come off.

On my way there I pull up to some traffic and a red light off about 15 cars away. Car in front of me has California plates (I'm in Portland, OR). I pull up directly behind her side mirror and I can see that she sees me. She makes every effort to pull over to the right a bit so that I can lane split down the middle!! It was quite obvious. I know CA has its problems, but that was way cool.

Thanks but no thanks--Had I taken her up on her kind offer, next car ahead would have opened its car door in front of me and the pickup after would have pulled towards the middle to block my path.
During my 10 years of a 100 mile commute, on the SF peninsula, I got a lot of that in extremely heavy traffic. A lot more than the negitive type.

Just finishing changing the oil and filter,(10th time 36.020 miles) putting on a new crush washer and checking tire pressures. Such a piece of cake on this bike.

Added heated grips. I'm gonna say it, the Oxford 'touring' grips are too short. That said, they work pretty nicely. I haven't been able to push them beyond 50% as they do get warm!

Remember the milestone of not getting on the CB for 3 weeks? Yesterday I couldn't take it anymore and took my BBB (beautiful black beast) out for a spin around my favorite local loop; south along the St Johns River back north along A1A.

This type of road sign in very rare in the flat swamp that is Florida.

There are some beautiful properties along the St Johns.

Back home in time for lunch. That morning I put more miles on the CB than that DLX in the San Diego ad has ever done.

Twas a good day. Cool

There ya go Nemo.....an AHHHHH moment. Glad you got out for a spin finally.

I only rode mine 31 miles today...in the rain lol. Raining when I took off, raining when I got back in. ST is in the shop so CB got rain riding duty today (maybe tomorrow and Wednesday too if the forecasters are right)
