Deft

I'm 51 or 52, but I look and feel like I'm in my 20s. (Okay 30s or 40s).
A friend in college had a 70s CB350 that he left with me one summer while he was traveling. And, yea, I guess I do have some good memories from those days, but life is even better now and the CB1100 is way more fun to ride than the 350 ever was!

RE: Average CB1100 Rider Age
I am 75 and have been riding since the mid 60's. I had a Super Hawk while in Vietnam 67 to 70 as a civilian engineer, rode it all over Saigon and the local area. I do have arthritis issues with both knees and one ankle, the knees are due to old age, the ankle due to a nasty break years ago sky diving, (actually the landing). Walking is a problem, but I have no trouble riding my CB 1100 or my old ZX 9R.

That stat is awesome and makes me smile.
At age 80, I may be the oldest, or at least one of the oldest here, and to still be riding at this age is truly amazing. I can't wait to get this winter over with so I can hit the saddle once again.
When I was riding my BSA at age 20 I never dreamed I would still be riding 60 years later! Back then anyone at age 50+ was over the hill Tongue
To all the others in this age range, good for you and keep on truckin'.

Still rockin', rollin', and ridin' after all these years

Don't forget that this poll has been running for what will soon be five years now, so no telling how that skews the numbers lol.

I occasionally ride enduro with a gentleman who's 77 years old. He's an incredibly agile rider and absolutely tears up the single track. I'm always entertained when we come across a group of young guys who have seen him tearing it up and he removes his helmet.

He's the model for how I want to live my motorcycling life and I'm hoping that I can continue riding well into my senior years.

RE: Average CB1100 Rider Age
Well, at 58 (next week!) it looks like I fit right in to the bulk of the CB1100 riders. I'm not surprised. My first street bike was a 70ish CB350 that i bought from a friend in 1978, sold that for a 1976 CB750 that got wrecked by a friend. I didn't have insurance so I had to save up for a 1980 CB750 Custom. That was my regular ride until I bought a 2006 VTX1300C. My son and I restored the CB750 and it looks and rides as good as it did in 1980. Why wouldn't I want another one! The VTX is a little big for a daily commuter and its hard to keep the 750 showroom shiny riding it every day (especially in the PNW) - enter the CB1100.

Sheesh.....I'm in the next to the last group now. Yikes. I'm 66.5 as of yesterday. Everything is still working good. It has to I still work --- as a carpenter. I plan on riding until the bell tolls, i.e. I bite the big one or can't throw a leg over.

My 014 is scheduled to arrive by box truck between 10 and 2 tomorrow!
I'm taking the day off Smile

I have to get me one of those 1150/four emblems! I like what one of the younger members called the bike - "an old man magnet" ha ha

I had friends and cousins that let me use their bikes back in the 60's and 70's. Most notably a cb350 four, 305 scrambler, a honda dream and assorted trail 90's. I have a friend that still rides his 750 he bought in 1970!
