I didn't expect to see it so early and probably won't have time to go and see it until next week.

İmage
That's gonna make someone a nice ride.

RE: The new CB in a Canadian showroom
My mother taught to me "If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all." But you guys drooling over this ugly dawg drove me to it.

There is one that has been sitting on my Honda Dealer's showroom floor all year. My salesperson even offered to let me take it for a drive. I wouldn't be seen on it. There are over a million people in the Ottawa area and thousands of bikers, but no one including myself wants that ugly dog.

The twisted discoloured headers and large lopsided muffler are ugly. Even Honda realized that when they equipped all the 2017 models with duel wall chromed headers and a 4-into-2 exhaust system with smaller mufflers.

The blackened alloy wheels and motor take away from the heritage style of what could have been a beautiful motorcycle with an aluminum air cooled engine as it its jeweled centerpiece. And then there are those tacky racing flag stripes on what have could have been a nice shiny black tank.

UGGHHLY!

Obviously the person at Honda Canada that picked this bike as the 2016 Canadian model has no idea what a heritage CB1100 should look like. I just hope they make a better choice if they bring the 2017 CB1100 EX model to Canada.

Too bad you didn't take the offer of a test ride to experience the heart and soul of the CB.

I think if there was a poll done asking what is the most important reason you purchased your CD, LOOKS would be the top choice.

It's all good -- there's no accounting for taste. I happened to visit a Victory/Indian dealership during a factory demo event and was offered a test ride on any of their bikes. I declined. I think those bikes are ugly and garish and I wouldn't consider owning one, so why bother? But for those who like that look and riding style, all the power to 'em.
