Peterbaron, you’ve set out remarkably clearly why it would be a huge mistake for me to fiddle with the TPS. Thank you.
Everybody has skills in different fields
...is my natural advantage that I have in automotive...actually TPS is very simple = only 3 wires..supply voltage (usually 5V), ground and signal...do not want to go Hi Tech..'cuz some members get upset and have stomach irritation, to cure it =
...LOL...
You can always go simple way in this matter::
ignition off, disconnect TPS connector, inspect both sides (female and male pins)... and if OK, clean it, apply conductive enhancement, reconnect, test it.... but this is "a ready" answer, without understanding what is going on..
The issue is:: catch erratic idling when engine is at operating temperature by wiggling TPS connector...and THEN go step by step as indicated above or in thread = diagnosis first = fix it right at the first time...don't let strangers dig into you bike...LOL
