Anyway, I was thinking if Raleigh wasn’t too far, Maybe I’d stop in. Christmas week will be my next run, though. And besides, you have a tool now.
Just so you know, I haven’t used mine yet. Should though, need to make a baseline run.

Hey Pop
Thanks for letting me know about the download site...I had done that before I posted the question, i should have been more specific about that. Sorry!

Also you may want to hook up the HealTech tool right away because I got a ecm not supported at this time error and was given instructions to send the ECM ID along with year and model to support@healtech. My guess is that they have to send some bike specific software to each owner, just guessing.

On the "Run" to Savannah are you riding your bike and do you know exactly what day? I wouldn't mind meeting you up there for a cold one if I'm off that day.

Cheers

JD

JD,

Thanks for that. I better hook it up to both my bikes...

I don’t know yet when I’ll be driving down to Savannah yet for Christmas. I’ll be in my car though. I’m a wimp about cold riding, plus I couldn’t get all the presents on the ST.

How To Cure High Idle Issues (possibly)
Just an update. After changing the EOT sensor which seem to do absolutely nothing....I received my HealTech OBD reader tool and discovered that I had two codes for TP sensor low voltage. Inspected the wiring and the connector to the TPSensor had one of the prongs twisted. After fixing that the problem went away..... Thank God!

Man, glad you could fix that. You can’t buy the TPS separately from Honda.

Maybe you can provide some instruction either thru words or pictures so others with the problem could check theirs?

It is on the left side of the throttle body(ies) and is exposed to view.

No worries, the entire throttle body assembly can be purchased from Bike Bandit for only $1,356.95!

The TPS typically has a shorter life than many electrical components, so I hope there is an aftermarket available. On many 4 wheel vehicles, it is a common cause of the ECU going into limp mode.
