Well, you didn't help, LR
But... as cool as I think they look and as much as I'd like to have one, reality is that it would hang in my closet for 9+ months of the year; and the 3 months that I'd use it would be once a week (my riding frequency). Not a great investment (the one I like is about $500).

RE: leather jackets
I have one that is the only gift my step father every gave me so it is more sentimental value . It is a Lamb skin bomber jacket and the only winter coat i have .
The best part about growing up in Florida is i didn't have to move here when i got old.

I would definitely take one as a gift!

I got this jacket from Wilson's Leather for under $200 and I really like it.

I have the same problem as you, Nemo. I’d love one, but I’d seldom wear it.

I like that jacket Nemo! I had one in that style once, but it, uhhh, shrunk in the closet. Yeah, that what happened...

Winter, was it popgun? I can think of a couple of things that shrink in the cold.

RE: leather jackets
I used to have a leather pullover shirt but unfortunately it also “shrunk in the closet”. Great light weight wind protection.
Plan to go by Fox Creek Leather next sunny day I have time to go riding, on my way to Pie in the Sky pizza. Next time any of y’all are in the neighborhood I need to introduce you to some local haunts.
Leather is a nice windstop. Pricey but can beat the classics, sorta like a CB.
