North Georgia this weekend anyone?
Anyone going to be in Suches, GA area this weekend? I was planning on meeting a friend and some guys he knows for a bit of riding through Tennessee and Nc. However the forecast for that area doesn't look so good, but it does look better for North Georgia. So I think I will be heading to TWO of Suches.

I'm not, but I'm looking for a good recommendation on a day ride out of Atlanta. Sorry to hijack your thread Is there good riding around Suches?

Yes. See this post.

The map is here. so you can examine the route in detail.

Once we got on to the highway near Morganton, it was not a particularly interesting ride, but the earlier bits were great.

There's a lot of really good riding up in that area. However, looks like the weather is not looking that good for this weekend in that area as well now...We'll just have to wait and see. I will pull the plug on this trip if it isn't looking any better by Wednesday night.

I'm heading in that area in 4 weeks. Staying in Townsend Tennessee but always go down to Georgia to do the "loop" Suches, Blood Mountain and Wolf Pen Gap. Dahlonega to Blood Mountain to Blairsville is a great ride.
the best roads to you

I ride up there pretty often. There are some pretty good roads, Cormanus pretty much laid them out for you. Check out Two Wheels of Suches for lunch or dinner if you get a chance. It's a pretty cool little joint and the food is good. Lots of friendly folks and bikes. Just make sure you check the times if you plan to grab some food.
