2017 RS review from France
Sounds a lot better! Did you see no stupid little latch to pull down to unlock the seat! I dislike the system on my 2013 and 2014.

When he lifted the seat I noticed the very small tool kit. Like me, I guess everyone is going to get a 5mm Allen key, a plastic screwdriver and fuse puller. Pretty chintzy for a motorcycle with a base price of $13,000. My $6800 out-the-door CB500XA had the full kit. I see the Babbitts has the complete kit listed as parts.

The other problem is that the Dunlop Sportsmax Touring D205 tires for the EX are not available in North America. Only in Britain you say. Pity!

Oh, Paris! Superior to anything we have on this side of Pond.
(I'm not talking about the Arc de Triomphe and somesuch, I'm talking about the general motoring public tolerating lane splitting motorcyclists... Smile

That is a nice feature. I never understood the reasoning behind the pre '17s complicated seat latch.

Now that you mention it, I remember in prehistoric times when I used to ride KZ bikes, they all had a hinged seat. Just turn the key and lift. You never had to figure out where to put the seat if you needed access under it.

I'm pretty sure my CB175 had a hinged seat and a simple mechanism to open it. I don't think it had a lock back then.
