Hi guys and gals, I'm new member on here having picked up my 2017 CB1100Ex a couple of days ago from the fabulous people at Kitchener Waterloo (KW) Honda.
I spent the last two months chopping and changing my mind between this bike, various Triumph Bonneville models (mainly the T100), and the Moto Guzzi V7III special. I also considered the BMW RNineT Pure at one point.
The issue with the Honda was for one thing I couldn't find one anywhere as dealers seem a little scared to get them in, and two I thought I wanted a twin as my last bike was a Honda 599 and I wanted something less "hectic".
Once a drove an hour to Waterloo to finally see the CB I fell in love with the fit and finish of the bike and since I've ridden it I love that the engine is much less in need of revs for normal every day riding than the 599. At the same time the CB1100 has plenty enough power should I feel the need. In all honesty having tried the Triumph T100 twice and the Moto Guzzi V7II on test rides I would have enjoyed both of them too in different ways.
Blah Blah, regardless I think I'm in love and whilst the CB1100 seemed large when I first sat on her, she soon showed herself to be very easy to ride once rolling and her size is no longer an issue. In fact she's very planted and soaks up the numerous Ontario road bumps with ease.
