Unfortunately, rental options are not going to include CB1100's.

RE: 2018 Forum Rally Poll
I chose other. My vote is for the Texas Hill Country, and it's not that far for most. From my home in SE GA it's 1090 miles, 1.5 days getting there. Most of the eastern mountain rides are nice but pretty much the same scenery. The Hill Country would be a nice change. Lots of great motorcycle roads and plenty to do.

Texas Hill Country would be cool. Arkansas is probably still closer to most people than Texas, but I'd ride down if'n the timin's right.

RE: 2018 Forum Rally Poll
Once a year GTG ride is not enough- especially with an aging demographic.
Why not multiple rides- say quarterly both in time and + on the map- and whoever shows up shows up.
I would have loved to come to the last GTG but being that I am not retired it just wasn't possible. If I was free to do what I want- I would have been there.
That being said- I vote Lake George, and am ready to go this summer!!
Blue ridge parkway is also fantastic- I have been there in a car in the fall, never on a bike.
Has anyone ever tried to figure out where the highest concentration of these bike owners live?
104whp / 75wtq ... for now.

RE: 2018 Forum Rally Poll
Totally agree with PowerDubs that get togethers should not be limited to once/twice per year. However, I don't view local 'get togethers' as 'rallies'. Rallies, I think, should be set up with the intention of drawing folks from a much much larger area than a get together. For example, the Arkansas rally was set up to draw from about a 1000 mile radius, whereas my Lake Shore Drive-Chicago get together was set up to draw from about a 100 mile radius.
My point, I guess, is that we should have as many local get togethers as there are people to organize them and places to hold them and we should have one or two "Official" rallies per year that are designed to draw folks from all over the country.
My two cents.

I know this is a CB rally and all, but fly-n-rent's not a bad way to go if the alternative is to not go at all.

RE: 2018 Forum Rally Poll
Texas sounds like a good place for west coast people who are interested, much closer than the ones on the list

Arkansas was closer and no one west of Arkansas came, although two, I think, had last minute cancellations.

There is a West Coast rally just around the corner. All it takes is someone to step up and get it going.

RE: 2018 Forum Rally Poll
At this years Ark rally, there were two locals, 2 from Wisconsin, and one each from Indiana, Illinois and Ohio. Dismal participation. Like Sea said no one west of or south of Ark.bothered to come. One from Montana was on his way and encountered troubles and had to go back.
Will be interesting to see how many from the west make the Idaho rally.
