I'd be up for a few of them too if it weren't such a long swim.

Right after Labor Day, kids are back in school, most folks are finished camping for the summer. I think the target audience would be OR, WA, ID, N.CA, N.NV, NW UT (Salt Lake), maybe even W. MT.
I found the Seattle guys willing to travel a little farther than Oregon.
I also found out is hard to find good loop routes in Idaho.

Well that is a good point Cormanus. I dunno.
If you run a poll on the forum and the majority of respondants says they want the 2018 rally to be at X place, and we plan to have it at X place, does that makes it an " offical forum rally" ?
Again, I dunno.
Multiple " official forum rallys" are fine with me. If they are within reasonable riding distance, I will probably be there.
I would say that we had a fall rally. We had 3 forum members attend and one none forum member on his CB1100. Ok, maybe it wasn't a rally, it was just a few of us riding one day, but I found it to be a heck of a lot of fun. Plus, I got to meet two really cool forum members (Houtman, the A-Man). I look forward to seeing those two again.

But where ?????????
Please vote in the poll
I vote for California Central Coast to coincide with World and US Superbike races and Moto GP at Laguna Seca. Lots of great racing to watch, and great riding in the whole Central Coast area.

But where ?????????
The Crooked Road, in Virginia USA, is this swank back country route that some cool marketing people have developed in our state. Please see: The Crooked Road. See attached map. To further promote this Crooked Road concept and tourist attraction we also hold an annual Music Festival at various points along the Crooked Road all of which is in Southwest Virginia. The calendar of music events to be held each summer is chocked full, and all of these events and venues are always located on or near the official Crooked Road.
As mentioned previously the state of Virginia holds a 9 day 'event' called the Mountains of Music Homecoming. The concept is to bring top-shelf musicians to various locations along the 330 mile route that makes up the official Crocked Road. All of which is in southwestern Virginia. For 2018 the event runs from June 8th until June 16th and you can of course attend whatever events you decide upon. At present their website still has some old information from this event in 2017 and some from the upcoming 2018, so it is still a bit hard to get clear of some of the details at this point in time.
If there would happen to be a grand interest in holding a bike rally during some portion of this nine day event I think we will need to move forward before all of the hotels become full. I think scheduling a 3-4 day CB1100 rally sometime between June 8th and June 16th of 2018 could possibly work.

RE: 2018 Forum Rally Poll
My wife and I were wondering what a rally of CB1100's would be like:: everyone heads to the parking lot and can't find their bike in a sea of red CB1100's!!
Some have mentioned sparse attendance. Hey, if there are two or more Guzzis in one spot, it's a RALLY!!
I voted Kentucky. It's a do-able distance. I picked up my '76 Guzzi 850T3 in Louisville and made the 1400 miles back to Albuquerque in two days flat.
I help our MGNOC State Rep with our Guzzi rally every year. Like anything, it's all in preparation, earlier the better. That way the rally can be fun for us too. As a note for comparison on drawing attendees from outside NM, we'll pull from AZ, TX, CO, OK, KS, and George Warren from Washington who comes down every year to take another Oldest Rider trophy to add to his collection!
I do like the idea of small rallies at various locations across the States. And the idea of a riding rally.
It's all practice.....

I just voted other. Like emullick, I vote for California Central Coast to coincide with World and US Superbike races and Moto GP at Laguna Seca. Lots of great racing to watch, and great riding in the whole Central Coast area. Dry weather a big plus, too.
I also like San Diego, Monterey, Redding, CA, some Oregon spots suggested by others, and some other west coast locales. Probably need an east coast and a west coast rally. I’d wager RandyB, PowdwerToastMan, Pauley, dsan and others could be coaxed into joining anything within a hundred miles of Laguna Seca or San Francisco.

The official 2017 annual Astoria, OR CB1100 ride. I'm the only one to show up two years running.
