RE: 2018 Forum Rally Poll
At our first rally in NC we had about 25 or 30 attendees. At our second in Va we had 15-20. At the third rally in Arkansas we had 5 or 6. We also had a rally in Idaho that year that drew an equal number, 5 or 6. We have also had 5 or 6 members gather together for rides in various area of the country ( so cal for one)

Being one niche model from one manufacturer kind of limits the amount of people we have to draw from

RE: 2018 Forum Rally Poll
There are a number of variables that could account for the reduced numbers over time. One of those variables is the popularity of one venue relative to another. We could eliminate that variable by planning a rally to either North Carolina or Virginia, but neither have been listed specifically in the poll. The closest specified alternative is West Virginia which happens to be leading the polls at this time (I did not take the time to determine if one of the "Other" places has more than 19 votes, but I suspect not). Central Kentucky is also right up there in the voting and is within spitting distance (sort of) of the two most popular rallies, so maybe it should be a contender.

The other variable could be the dates. The first two rallies were at the end of May and the beginning of June. The 2017 Arkansas Rally was at the same time of year and drew less, but I did get a lot of feedback that year that people would have attended if it was a different date.

I move that we narrow the poll selections to West Virginia and Kentucky, set the dates for the end of May/beginning of June (5/30-6/2?) and see who votes.

I really , really enjoy meeting people from all over the world but to travel many states from my home to meet someone has not happened since some of my family traveled north to chickamauga Thumbs Up

The best part about growing up in Florida is i didn't have to move here when i got old.

I live in Louisiana but Texas would be a good spot. If near Dallas, anyone who decided to fly in and rent a bike could do so fairly easy. Plus the weather should be good just about anytime of year.

RE: 2018 Forum Rally Poll
Couldn't get any Texas or Louisiana or Mississippi riders to ride to Arkansas last year.. None. The Arkansas location was picked, in large part, to provide easier access for folks in those states plus Colorado, Kansas, and even Arizona. No one from a state west of Arkansas actually attended the rally, although we did have one from there who suffered an injury en route. I'm sure there were many reasons why riders from these states wouldn't attend a rally in Arkansas, but it seems from the limited sample we have that we will get a better turn out at a location east (and well east) of the Mississippi.

If there is going to be a 2018 rally and if it's going to be before August, then we have to decide on a location now.

Not putting pressure on anybody about this rally. Just pointing out a lot of CB1100 owners are still working and I wager a lot of those guys might have to bid their vacation starting Jan 1st. I worked a union shop for 33 years and the first working day after Jan 1 was very interesting the games that were being played on the vacation board,,,,

The official 2017 annual Astoria, OR CB1100 ride. I'm the only one to show up two years running.

Hey pdedse, did you happen to take Route 202 when you went to Astoria? It's an awesome road. I could probably be talked into a ride to Astoria at some point in order to enjoy that road once again, plus I really dig visiting Astoria.

jodytek, I recall reading that Tapatalk does not support polls. You will have to log into the forum via a browser. The go to the top of this page and you should see the poll.

Having said that, though, you may like to see this thread which has moved matters on a bit. There's a poll there too!
