I'd like to see a 13/14 and a 17 ran back to back on a dyno- pulling from 1.5k to redline. Between the apparently less restrictive airbox snorkel, mufflers, and any ecu changes- I'd bet there is a real world difference in power output.
In fact- I read somewhere in a Honda article where they retuned the 2014 ecu compared to the 13 because of the 6th gear. I've never seen anyone on here talk about it before.
We aren't talking monumental differences in either case- but I bet measurable.
As for handling- the rear shocks definitely have a different part number on the 17 although no word on what the changes are- could be valving, could be spring rate. The forks are also different as already known.

This aspect is quite intriguing as the sound is indeed from the exhaust changes themselves apparently. Will be interesting to see what happens if anyone ever switches to an aftermarket exhaust, or someone with an eye on Ebay ever backdates a 2017 exhaust onto a 13/14....
