Hello all! I too, am new to this forum. Just bought a slightly broken in CB1100, 2014, has just over 6K miles, Color is black. I'm located in the Mid-West, Omaha, Nebraska.

I sold my little Kawasaki Z to help finance my CB1100, but still have my 2017 Honda CMX500 (Rebel 500) which is also a blast to ride.

Owned and rode many bikes in my time, but I am sure like many here, I took some time off while raising a couple families. I am back, and loving the sport more than ever. I know why I ride, and I am never looking backwards again!

Metro, congrats and welcome! I spent a year and a half in your fair city. There's some decent riding to be had just across the river, as I'm sure you know. Enjoy!

Ride more. Worry less. Tongue

I've had it about a month only put 700 miles on it and one thing is driving me bat cuss. The positoning of the blinker (winker) and horn. I'm blowing my horn when I don't want to and not able to find thé horn when I need to. On top of that I am leaving my blinker on which I've never had a problem with my other bikes. I am concidering à self cancel unit, any thoughts? I had self canceling signals back in the 80s and know all the drawbacks. Just want to know who might have installed one of these on their bike.

Can't speak to a canx unit, but Ferret hated the '14 and above switch placement and changed his to '13 switches.

One would think the 2014 Cb1100 and 2017 500 Rebel would have the same switches.they changed them in 2014 from the previous 40 year set up.
