Isn't that one of these "don't try this at home" thingies? Cool

I have done this a couple of times over the years misjudging corners. Mostly when I was younger, with more bravado and less skill. It was usually followed by a pulling over and shaking period with a little " how in the heck did I survive that" thinking as well as a promise to myself to slow the heck down.

Those guys have unbelievable skills, because they do it lap after lap... On purpose lol

Lucky and skilled you are. Most of us would do a highsider after the slide, when the grip is back again all the sudden.

RE: Sliding aroound corners
This happened to me (at a much slower speed) early on when I first returned to riding a number of years ago. I was on my Hawk GT and it was very much unplanned as it involved a combination of a late downshift in which I didn't try to match revs all that well and some debris on the road. Had I downshifted a bit earlier or matched revs better or paid better attention to the road surface and the line I was taking then nothing would have occurred. But of course I did none of those things and it resulted in my rear wheel kicking out just as I was entering a corner. Fortunately I managed to ride out of it without a problem. I was upset with myself and I felt like an idiot for having put myself into such a situation. I was also grateful that I had grown up riding dirt bikes. The phenomenon was not completely foreign to me even after decades of time having passed by. That said, I'd definitely rather not put my muscle memory and reflexes to such a test again if I can avoid it.

That's cause most would let off the gas. Motocross background says as long as you are not already laying on your side, you have got to steer into it and give it more gas! The moment you let off the throttle it's pitch over the highside time.
