Closest Thing To My 1974 CB750
Hello All, I started riding motorcycles in 1968 as a teenager, and have had 15 different bikes over the years. My all time favorite was the 1974 CB750 that I bought new for about $1450 back then. May last bike was a Harley 2007 CVO Softail Springer. It was a great bike, but not nimble around town, and of course a bit more difficult for the older me to handle. I traded it in on a 2017 1100EX last week, and it is the closest thing I will ever find to my beloved CB750 ( wish I still had it, but sold it in 1981 ). I had "case saver bars" on my 1974, and became a believer when I laid the bike down in a slow turn from a stop on damp pavement. So, when I bought the EX I had already researched crash/case saver bars thoroughly. I settled on the SW-Motech as what I considered the best, and stumbled across the forum thread about mounting bolt torque for them. I did an update to that thread with what I found from my research. I hope the thread saves other CB1100 riders wanting those bars, from the time I had to spend finding the answers. In order to share what I found, I joined. Great forum, and glad to contribute.

Welcome.
If you want to make your new bike look like your old bike- visit Samurider and ask him about the Whitehouse kit.
If you search on here or google you will see what I mean-
I guess, welcome to the rabbit hole!!
