The Cormanus Chronicles: 8 of 2017

The map is here.

My wife and I are heading away for 5 weeks so there won’t be any CB time for Cormanus. I thought I’d better get one last ride in before we go. I decided on a circle of the local mountains.

It was a glorious Day and Big Willy looked imposing as I rode past.
İmage

Having made my way to Samford, I turned left and headed for Mt Glorious. There’s a very steep and winding ascent and I wanted it to myself. The omens were not good.
İmage

İmage

Luckily, they both turned off.
İmage

It’s much better when you’re not following things.
İmage

İmage

I had coffee (in a cup) and bacon and eggs (on a plate) at the Mt Glorious Café during which time Marc, Dani or a wannabe arrived.
İmage

Other chaps stood around in the sun talking wisely.
İmage

I pressed on through the bush, down the very steep Northbrook Parkway

Until I came to a patch of freshly resurfaced road at which point I decided to turn around.
İmage

After a wonderful ride back up the hill, I discovered the Western Window.
İmage

İmage

Marc, Dani or the wannabe was still relaxing.
İmage

More trees.
İmage

A great view east to the end of the world. Well, it is flat, isn’t it?
İmage

And Big Willy still glowing in the early afternoon sun.

Love the view frm the Western Window, and your right the view is always better if you are not following someone, especially a truck or SUV

Great photos, especially the "window" pic. It still takes me a second to process the images of the two lane roads with oncoming traffic to your right. It makes me apprehensive about ever riding a motorcycle in Europe or Australia.

Sea we have ridden in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France and Lychtenstein and they all rode just like us..on the right with opposing traffic to your left.

I think Englad and Australia both ride on the wrong side... Er other side.

Ireland, too. I just didn't feel like typing out all "left side" countries. India, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Jamaica, Isle of Man, etc.
