RE: Honda Exhaust Stock LOUDER
lolly, welcome to the forum. The easiest way to post pictures here is to open an Imgur account, load the pictures there, and then paste the BB link into your post here.

It’s the same idea as set out in this thread http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=1913

Don’t use Photobucket, though, unless you want to pay a small fortune for the pleasure.

Alternatively, make sure the file size of the photo is less than 250KB and use the attachments feature of the forum.

Yet another alternative if you’re using a smart phone to take pictures is to install Tapatalk and use it to load photos. It does the same thing as Imgur but hosts the photos for you.

well that's certainly different looking. Wonder what the drooling stuff under the pipe is in the third photo?

RE: Honda Exhaust Stock LOUDER
I wanted mine to sound just a little different. My GL1000 is very quiet, but I wanted the CB to sound a little "sportier". I know there is a thread on this forum, that's where I got the idea. I removed the cover at the rear of the muffler, Std only one. And drilled 6 half inch holes around the tail pipe and reinstalled the cover. It's not really louder, but has a different tone. Has a little bark under load, but totally tolerable at cruise and for those around me. The only downside is that the cover is now discolored like the head pipes, I was thinking about powder coating it black. I have not noticed any drivability/performance change and still get 45-55 mpg.

It'd be a start, all were done with the same phone, from the same distance in the same environment. Good luck, I toy with the idea of changing the exhaust from time to time but there are leather jackets to collect, track days/bikes to pay for, vacations and excursions to plan and execute, the sound of my exhaust keeps falling lower and lower on the priorities list I may never get to it...

AGREE
I know I want to do it, but in the end just not worth it. They do sound awesome with a louder note though.
