He shoots, he scores!

Look how smooth those dyno lines are on the CB and only 6 hp down on the R9T and 18 hp up on the Bonnie

"The seat’s a magic carpet, "

“The seat is just about perfect, proving that with this category bike, you can have a stylish seat that offers the appropriate level of padding. The Triumph comes in second while the BMW’s seat is a distant third.”

Take that whiners lol

(btw I don't know that I'd call it a magic carpet, unless they improved it over the DLX, but it is tolerable)

Honda CB1100EX
+ Highs
Nothing but polished steel, brushed alloy and deep paint
Helmet lock, bungee hooks, grab rails, centerstand
Fuel tank reminiscent of a vintage Norton
– Sighs
Some people always want more power
Too nice to get dirty
Lots to love at 556 lbs.

CB1100 for the win!
The dyno charts for the Honda are amazing. It almost seems impossibly smooth by comparison like they are using a different scale on the x and y axis for the CB vs the other two. Love all three bikes but very happy the CB got its well deserved win.

Those charts are consistent with the Honda "Creating Finespun Output Characteristics" piece where the engineers talk about tuning the motor in increments ("every 1 degree and 100 revs").

I think the CB1100 is starting to catch on and draw attention, it was just a little slow getting out of then gate.

Nice to see reported what we all knew.

1 Cor 13:4-7 (NIV)
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

I just read the article when I got home - must admit it reflected my view when I bought my 2016 over the T120 black. Interesting given their previous review

Nice to see the CB finally get some love, I hope Honda gets some momentum and does something with the new version. Bring the RS in now!

No more CB, but a GB.
Triumphs and Ducatis.
A Norton, MV, and Morini 175.
Probably others.
