RE: Should I Buy A New 2014?
Short answer is yes do buy the CB1100. Man if you've been happy with your magna you will LOVE the CB.
I've had 3 Honda CB750's from '71 through '83. I loved them and have traveled from SF to NY and throughout the west/Midwest all that time.
I bought a 2014 CB1100 late last year for $7500 and I LOVE it! Man it is just such a fantastic ride.
Why has it not sold better than it has. It isn't a Harley and it isn't a crotch rocket, which is what people want these days so it is a huge value. Because of it's relatively cheap cost I was able to buy engine guards, a rocket fairing, a tail rack, and great set of saddlebags.
Man I am going to do some nice long distance touring on this bike.
To be completely honest with you... much as I love this bike I have one small criticism. For as many years as I've been touring the country this gas tank capacity is a bit on the small side. Plan on more stops more frequently.

So my wife quit her job and went to a 20 hr week. That puts a new bike out of the question. Good news is the Magna is running strong, so maybe next spring.

Leftover price would prob be like 5k then. Just wait and steal it next year

That is my plan. She doesn't want to use her leftover PTO on a bike for me!

There are dealers here in WI advertising 2014 CB1100s for 6 grand. That seems a great deal, but why didn't these bikes sell?

YES, YES, YES...you will never regret your decision !!

So, I done did it. Found one on CycleTrader.com for $6,999, LA Cycle had the last one, their out-of-door was pretty reasonable for one in a crate, so zero miles. Picked it up yesterday.

Thanks! I think I saw another member here with a CB and a Ural. I have a 2015 Patrol too. Very different bike, but led me to getting a CB.
