UK Tour July/August 2017
As one maybe has noticed, John and I posted a bit about his and even less about my Sottish trip this year in another thread.

As every year I wrote a roadbook.

If someone is interested to read or just
look at the pictures, this is the link to do so:

http://grossmaggul.de/w-forum/download_f...202017.pdf

I mainly wrote it in German, no wonder...., but there is some English mixed in, because I spoke and read this language so much during my tour. Some expressions seems to fit better than my native language and came easier to mind while writing. Maybe some of you are able to read and understand German, than he/she will get the full context.
Have fun,

Wisedrum

Beautiful pictures of a perfect trip. I even managed a sentence or two in
German reviving my 50+ years unpracticed school German. With the help of "Google Translate" I was able to read most of it. But I was captivated by the photos so I went fast forward from about mid point.

A few years ago. No. It was ten years ago I had a business meeting in Germany. I flew into Frankfurt and drove to a small town of Zulpich. I had a day to drive up to Koln and see a few things, but it was a business trip so not much time to enjoy Germany. the mountains to the south looked inviting.

Thanks again for the story and pictures.

I have no German, so I'll have to apply Google Translate, but the photos are fabulous.

If you haven't done it, Wisedrum, enter the photo of you and John with your bikes on page in the monthly photo challenge. It's great.

Hi Peter - thank you for the great write up of your UK tour - Carole and I have stayed at many of the places you show in our tent camping days some 45 years ago - brought back memories.
Sorry for the late response but have been in an internet black hole in north west Scotland for nearly four weeks.
Good to meet up with you at a wet Glencoe - safe cruising - John

I'm glad to read something from Carole and you.
I hope that you have found a nice campsite where you can stay for the autumn. Saw your last 2 pics and try to imagine the place they were shot....somewhere in the north of Scotland. Since my trip was over the days have to quickly passed by and the normal life has got me. Finding jobs and do so motorbiking in my hometown area if I find time for it. These days it's lots of rain and also storm. Somehow like the Scottish summer....but I keep good memories with me from the UK tour, which will carry me through the long upcoming cold and dark time until I go out on the road again next summer.
