HD-riding buddy of mine a few years ago wouldn't even sit on my Kawasaki Concours, let alone ride it. "I don't sit on Jap bikes!" And she was educated, successful, articulate, open-minded and reasonably intelligent.

She sure sounds open-minded.Huh

I was thinking the same thing.

Oddly enough, I understand better those that buy Harleys because they "wouldn't sit on Jap bikes!..." then those that believe there is some technical merit to the big bore V twins in this 21st century.

I dislike motorcycle snobs of all shapes and sizes.

When I hear comments such as those above is typically the last time I ride with those people.

Nothing wrong with the air cooled Harley V twin.Been around a long time and they still sell a boat load of them. Sure it's heavy and slow, and not as technically advanced as some others, but I think I've heard the same complaints about the CB1100.

We all have preferences and opinions. Some are rather stubborn in theirs...on both sides.

I love all motorcycles. It's some of the bikers I don't dig.

No more CB, but a GB.
Triumphs and Ducatis.
A Norton, MV, and Morini 175.
Probably others.

IMO that is not a very attractive paint job. The low seat sort of reminds me of the seat on the KZ 900/1000 ltd from back in the day.

I can see why they're offering this color...it should attract buyers looking for a rugged, commando, army, military, urban assault theme.

then again look how good the ends of the radiator, the front fender brace and that piece under the tank look in black instead of silver. They should have done the heel plates too.

Except for the giant 900 on the side covers I think this is the best iteration of Z900RS.

İmage

That's the low seat, which is standard equipment in some markets but an accessory item in the U.S. That's the seat Kawi uses to achieve their claimed 31.5" seat height, rather than the nearly 33" seat height of the U.S. model.

I actually think the low seat looks better on the bike than the thicker high seat, which looks overstuffed and bloated.
