RE: 2017 CB1100 EX Ride Review
The MPG data for the 2017 CB1100 EX of 40s seems low. I get 60 miles to the Imperial gallon, so wouldn't our US riders get about 50 miles to the US gallon.

Which re-opens the gas tank capacity question. All Honda literature indicates the tank holds 16.8 litres - 3.7 imperial gallons - 4.44 US gallons. While Honda Canada's website indicates 14.6 liters - 3.2 Imperial gallons - 3.86 US gallons.

From my riding experience I am inclined to believe the lower capacity figure. I top up at 250 kilometers - 155 miles. My calculated maximum range would be 300 kilometers - 185 miles with the smaller tank. My fuel gauge seems to verify this, but I have never run the tank dry.

If the tank held 16.8 litres a person could ride for 350 kilometers - 215 miles. Has anyone ever ridden near this distance without running out of fuel?

That's what I originally thought, but the fuel gauge starts flashing shortly after 250 kilometers - 155 miles.

So I am wondering if other 2017 CB1100 EX owners have found the same, or have ridden beyond 300 kilometers - 185 miles.
