forward & lowered controls
Just wondering if there are any other long legged riders out there who have moved the rider pegs and foot controls lower and forward on a CB1100. It looks like an old style shift lever could go directly onto the shifter shaft on the left-hand side.

6'3" and 34" inseam...I went the route of raising the seat height with a 2" seat pad, then added handlebar risers that brought the bar up and towards me by 1.25". It helps, but I wouldn't mind if the pegs were lower and forward as well. To compensate for the lack of leg room, I also put on engine guards (was going to do that anyway) and then hiway pegs attached to the engine guards. It gives me leg room to stretch for long, hiway rides.

Did you have to reroute any of the cables or fluid lines when you installed the risers?

Right when you pull the handlebars up to get over the U of the base of the riser, it's tight, but then the hanldebars drop down into the base and there's enough slack. I have full range of motion with the bars with no issues.

Thanks! That sounds familiar.

When I added risers to my CB500XA, I pushed the top of the bars forward and inserted the bottom of the bars into the U base of the riser. After adding the top of the risers without tightening them, I was able to pull the top of the bars back and know where there was enough slack.
