VFR800
I have a soft spot for v-four Hondas. Had a 1983 750 Interceptor and a 1984 1000 Interceptor. Really like the current model looks wise and found what sounds like a good deal for a new 2014. Anyone out there have any experience with the v-tec motor? The last Interceptor I road was a demo ride on a 1995 model. Thanks for any help.

I had a 2004 vtec vfr. Best sounding motor ever after I put the Leo Vince on. The riding position is a little tight for me but the motor is glorious.

RE: VFR800
I do, yes a 2013 and now a 2014. I still miss the sound of the VFR, but sat on some at a used bike shop recently and it felt cramped and too leaned over. I must have been a lot more flexible 10 years ago. The VFR made me do stupid things, which is the main reason I sold it...didn't really have many other downsides to me.

I test rode one but thought the riding position was rather jockey like

RE: VFR800
I had a 96 and I have ridden the VTEC. VTEC is "quieter" with the cam chain instead of gears and more efficient since two valves use less fuel at low revs. Lots of people like the VTEC hit. It's almost like hitting another gear or an after burner. Bike just starts to giddyup suddenly. I used to get quite tired riding mine. Leaned over. Feet up under me. Had to take more breaks. But it was fun and I rode mine all the time, rain or shine.

I had a 2003 VFR. Nice bike but the riding position was too tiring. It’d be interesting to see a standard version. Honda seems to only put their glorious V4 engines in cramped sport bikes or supertall ADVs.
