RE: New guy in Baton Rouge
It's an 2008 with only about 5500 miles. I have a few bikes, so the miles are low and it looks new.

I ll check when I pass by my dealer in an hour to see if he has anymore at the price I paid, you might be able to use that to negotiate

I looked on Brookhaven's website and didn't see any..... If they happen to have any, please let me know. A lot of people in Baton Rouge drive to Brookhaven for a better deal. lol

But then again, the prices should drop, I mean they are '14 bikes--two more months and they are 4 years old; if you were to turn around and sell because-gasp!-you didn't like it or life turn of events, your asking price would have to be around 5.5k. So a selling price now of 6500-7000 seems still a good price.

Greekcb paying 5987, that's awesome. I can't wrap my brain around that number when a new Yamaha SR400 has that as its msrp...not that many will pay that, but still. These leftover '14s have to be one of the bargains of the decade. If I had an extra 6k that I didn't know what to do with, I'd buy another and deep-freeze it for posterity....hold on, what's this? 6 grand under my couch? How did that get there?...hmmmm

Yeah that price was so stupid i couldn't help myself. I already have 2 other bikes so getting a third seemed goofy but i just couldn't say no to this. Now once i noticed the price drops, i started emailing places and whatnot to see what their actual prices were etc, thought it was an advertising scam to lure you in oi something. I contacted a few places near Milwaukee, couple in Indiana, and a place in des plaines Illinois which is only 40 miles from me and my ideal location to buy. They had 3 for 6497 ish. A couple days later i looked on their site and one was gone. This was late on a Saturday so i just emailed them knowing they were closed til Monday. Guy gets back to me Monday and said another was sold and the last one was on reserve! Im like holy crap i just noticed this and before i know it they are gone. He said he could've got another one for me but it was like 8k at that point. Nope. So, i ended up taking the 120 miles drive and got mine from Action power-sports in Waukesha WI. And it was by far the cheapest ive seen that bike. BTW i asked the des plaines place to match the WI place in price and id go with them but they said they couldn't do it. Now one more thing i noticed. When i started looking i would do nationwide searches and there were alot of 14's. A couple weeks later, way less available. Another thing is WI dealers seemed to be the lowest on price. I saw a lot advertised still for 8k ish. Anyway, i feel fortunate to have been close to such a great deal and jumped on it. I think alot of people liked this bike when i t came out but the price point was kinda steep. Discount it halfway about and how the heck can you go wrong lol.

I have been lurking here for a few days. Great forum!
Dealers are still getting rebates from Honda on these
Attached is my tag on a 2014 standard bought in August
Price shown included freight and setup and was my price out the door

If anyone wants a 2014 CB1100 standard call Jimbo at Brookhaven Honda
He can get 1 out of the warehouse for 7000 even
1 rebate of 103 has dropped off from the 6897 I paid in August

Looks fast sitting still
