Check out "Agnes" in the funnies and go back a few days to the start of the current subject.

Try http://www.arcamax.com/thefunnies/agnes
Sorry, Cormanus, I was unsure of the propriety of including a link.
I find it amusing but it is also so true that the dreams and anticipation of what the potential of something like a motorcycle brings are a big part of the attraction. No doubt a lot of motorbikes, bicycles, canoes, and all sorts of outdoor gear from jeeps to "waterproof to 300 meters" watches are sold because of it.

You should see the excitement and posts people make about all the new metal detectors coming out before they are released... it's nuts.
104whp / 75wtq ... for now.

Hey! You mean there's a new model coming out? Sign me up! I want Doubloons, not puny silver toe rings like the last time I tried. Ew! Who knows where that's been?

Hey, Ben, thanks for the link. I enjoyed the comic and some other ancient gems I found there.
There's no problem about posting links to websites.

RE: Comic-al
Okay, Cormanus, glad you enjoyed it. My first bike was a Montgomery Wards as well, but it was actually a leftover sold off the back of the auto department floor. A Riverside Benelli 250. It was so leftover they had started scavenging parts off it so got an amazing deal. Never did find an idle mixture screw so it was hard starting, ran best at WOT and every time I came to a stop I had to keep blipping the throttle like a real live biker. Of course I loved it.
Cormanus, if I still have your attention, it may be a good idea to remove this thread as the subject matter will no longer be remotely relevant to CB1100's or motorcycling in general (if it ever was).
Thanks, I did enjoy sharing.

Nah, Ben. We’ll leave it and, like many other threads, it will become dormant.
