Newbie here from Albuquerque
Well. I'm here for the same reason as everyone else: I've fallen in love with this real motorcycle of Honda's. I looked at one on the showroom floor today, and The Disease has its steely grip around my neck again.

So I'm educating myself by reading everything I can find on the bike, and now joining a forum to associate with those who own the bike to learn more about living with the bike and mechanical details.

A bit of background: Kansas farm boy, transplanted to Albuquerque. It's a motorcyclist's paradise with great weather and twisties all over. And a whole lot of nothing in between! Been riding since '67, celebrating 50 years! Current rides are a '76 Moto Guzzi 850 T3 and an '02 Moto Guzzi California EV. I'm a Life Member of Moto Guzzi National Owners Club and also an Associate State MGNOC Rep. So no, I'm not switching over to a Honda, I'm adding another classic to the garage!

Thanks for having me on here!

Welcome 3rdbike.

Just moved from Jemez Springs to Lubbock in June. You’re right about the roads, lots of twisties with open roads in between. Scenery up North is breathtaking.

Looking at the CB1100EX at ABQ Honda Powersports? Great folks and they encourage test rides.

PS: Sounds like you’re the right age for this forum. Lot’s of “seasoned citizens” here Cool

Yes, I know Ron! He has a nice Guzzi Griso, and rides over every year from AZ to our New Mexico Rally. I've seen pictures of his red CB1100.

Yeah, I guess we could be considered 'weird' for our undying love for a motorcycle so many people have never heard of. For me, it's one of those bikes that "just does that thing".

Also, let me be quick to point out that I don't actually OWN a CB1100 ... yet! I'm here to research and learn before I write that check.

Thanks, RockHop! Ah yes, the Jemez loop! A fine example of the twisties available here. High Road to Taos rates high with me too. Scenery? I'm aware of some green stuff on the sides of the roads.....

Yes, ABQ (R&S) Honda on Wyoming. I had inquired about the CB in May, the salesman was pretty vague on when they might have one. So I stopped on a whim today and lo and behold... one on the floor!!
The salesman said they had sold several, most people want the RS.

Well, our age group is precisely who Honda is marketing the bike to. I hope we all step up and satisfy our nostalgia fetish so Honda will keep this bike in production.

Welcome! I'm about six hours north of those wonderful roads you're talking about. I can ride on wonderful roads all the way down to your wonderful roads. I'm a recovering Guzzisti myself (two V7Cs which ultimately gave way to my DLX). Charming motorcycles, and if the dealership situation wasn't so dire, I'd still have one.

Actually, I was referring to Honda Powersports Albuquerque at 1220 S. Renaissance Blvd NE. They are the dealer I would go to and their on-line inventory shows the EX in stock with a discounted price.

Welcome, from southern Nevada.
My previous street bike was a 2016 Moto Guzzi V7II

In Las Vegas, I can certainly identify with the Moto Guzzi "dealership situation", but very glad I ended up with the CB1100!

That situation (ownership) killed my options for Moto Guzzi, Ducati, another Triumph or even a BMW.

And in 2009, Harley-Davidson quit making a Sportster of interest to me...883 or 1200...the lows or super lows have greatly reduced lean angles.
