You built what Honda has tried to replicate in the CB1100RS.

What are the specs now? Weight especially?

With that power it must feel real lively, if the suspension is sorted, that's getting pretty sporty.

2013 CB1100 Standard. July 2013 to December 2016, 10,500 miles. Low bars, Ikon shocks. Gone to a good home, I hope.Thumbs Up

Yep, it is! I'd really like to know the weight as well. I've roughly added up all the weight I've lost thru replacing parts and removing bits but I'd like to be able to see a genuine kerb weight. I'll ask around, see where people weigh bikes...

I'm sure if Honda weren't governed by emission laws and building to a budget, they would have made a more sporty version. The Ali. Swingarm made a huge difference to the handling. It just felt lively, in a good way.

I made it how I wanted it. I'd tried other bikes and none of them quite hit the spot. This one now does. I even took it on the track and it was great fun!

Thanks fellas,
The photographer was great, really top notch. His choice of location really suited the bike. Those old black bricks brought out the paint work beautifully. It's a really well written mag as well... I'm a subscriber too. They feature some fine bikes, made by very skilled builders. The only downside is I'm usually left feeling rather inadiquate by their tallents!
