pfffft
Josh and I rode it at night
no traffic was a plus
You could ride it at 7 am. Rick, Mickey and I did that on the way home from the Iron Horse. It was absolutely beautiful and deserted. And that was a Saturday if memory serves.

Easy access from 75 if anyone would like to try it on their own one day. http://rattlesnake192.com/
Nice find, ferret!

Not too far from you is it? Zip down and give it a try Stichill and let us know if it's any good.

RE: 2018 East Coast Rally Berea, Kentucky 5/29-6/2 2018
A member PM'd me asking about how the rally is going to run.
For the most part people are free to come and go as they please, for rides, dinners etc. I will have a half dozen different map routes to give everyone, and there are a zillion restaurants from home cooking to specialty stuff at the next exit south.
For those wanting to participate in a ride as a group, If you'd like to follow me, Wed, Thur and Fri I will set a take off time of say 9:30 (after breakfast) to meet at the hotel for the ride. I expect people that want to go on the group ride to be ready to go at that time, geared up, gassed up, ready to ride out of the parking lot (those at the NC rally will probably remember when I say I'm leaving at 9:30 THAT's what it means, it doesn't mean 9:45 lol). I will lead a ride for anyone that wants to go along. My rides tend to be easy ie: speed limit or less. I don't street race. With so many I hope it doesn't become an issue keeping everyone together. Anyone that doesn't want to go on the group ride can select a short, medium, or long route map, and take off on their own, leaving when they want. Singly or in small groups or in another large group, your choice. If you look at page 1 of this thread you will see the individual maps I will have printed both in pictures and with verbal directions.
We will probably select a dinner spot and time for Tues, Wed and Thurs (Sonny's Bar B Q, The Dinner Bell, and maybe Cracker Barrel) which people are welcome to attend as well, but certainly not mandatory. You are certainly free to eat when you want, where you want, what you want. There is a map of restaurants on the rally forum page too.
Friday morning before the ride we will do an official group picture and probably Friday night we will have a gathering/get together at the hotel in the conference room. We may order in Pizza or BBQ or something if everybody is up for that. TBD
Also, like I said, my wife is driving down for at least 2 of the days (maybe all ?), and any wives that don't want to go on the rides can go with her into town shopping, sight seeing and/or to lunch. It's a cool little town with lots to see and do.
Saturday everyone is on their own.... I will be headed home to my grand daughters High School Graduation lol.

One thing I've been planning to do, ferret, (unless someone with more free time beats me to it) is create GPS routes from your maps, export them as GPX (GPS Exchange Format) files and post them for people to download into their GPS.

I'll be riding out to the rally from Northern VA (West Springfield) on Monday, May 28 and taking two days to get there. Hope to enjoy the lovely roads of WV on Monday and then get on down to Berea on Tuesday. Anyone from the area going and want to share the road?

Cool CBbert, I will add you to the list on page 1 of this thread.
Are you planning on staying at the Red Roof with the group? If so let me know when you've made your reservation.
Also if you can PM me your real name and an emergency contact name and number
T shirts are also available. See separate thread to order
