Staintune
I recently looked at Guth's thread on his bars/seat upgrade and the pic showing the right side of the bike really piqued my interest.

That Staintune muffler looks great, I looked around but it I couldn't find anyone with a 2014 CB with the Staintune mounted - will it fit a 2014 model?

RE: Staintune
I’d check the part numbers for the 2013 and 2014 standard mufflers. If they’re the same, the Staintune should fit. They make a lovely noise on the CB.

RE: Staintune
Jeez, I had forgotten just how long it had been since I made the video in this thread until I went searching for it. The Staintune still puts a huge smile on my face to this day — it's all about "the tone". Quite literally in this case. In other words I like a lot of things about it: I like the way the exhaust looks — it's a quality piece of kit; I like that I lost some weight by swapping out the stock unit; I also like that it feels as if the throttle response has been improved since switching to the Staintune. Those things are all nice, but I love the way it sounds. It's not really loud, it just has a nice throaty growl to it that I find very pleasing. It provides the ultimate soundtrack to my CB1100 experience.

RE: Staintune
Note: Staintune exhausts were designed to fit the 2010 to 2013 models, and while they will also fit the 2014 CB (and later), there might be a clearance issue with the lower shock bolt. The stock Honda muffler has a large indentation on the back side for proper shock bolt clearance, but the Staintune does not.

I had less than 1/16" of clearance when I first mounted my Staintune to my 2014 Canadian CB, so I carefully bent the hanger bracket on the canister slightly for more clearance. At least one 2014 owner had the shock bolt contacting his Staintune causing scratching/marking.

I contacted Staintune about this and they claimed that they would look at modifying the welding fixtures in order to address this potential problem in the future. If they have not done so, be prepared to bend the hanger bracket slightly!

RE: Staintune
Sounds like you had it mounted wrong!

It is possible to have the flange on the wrong side- which would be problematic.
