Me and my CB
My 2017 CB 1100EX ( 7 months old) now closing in on 7,000 miles. Not bad, since it shares ride time with 3 other bikes.
I ride the bike as often as I can. My sport touring bikes are good at what they do, and my CB is for everything else. Just too much fun on the local roads I call home.
Its classic looks are commented almost everywhere I park it. A man once followed me for a mile to see if would stop somewhere ( I did, McDonalds) to talk to me about the CB 1100. The 2 chrome mufflers, and fenders glisten in the sun. The spoke wheels are also popular.
Some call it heavy? The need to ride a sport touring bike for awhile LOL, that'll show them heavy.
It has been a long time since I've felt this way about a motorcycle.

RE: Me and my CB
An R1200RT, an ST1300, and an FJR1300? Did you just want the same bike in every available flavor of motor?
"Hmmm. I wanna go ride a bazillion miles, but what do I feel like today? A Twin, a V4, or an inline Four?"
That is just straight-up awesome.
Otherwise, wow, taking a '17 CB1100EX to McDonald's almost seems sacrilegious.

RE: Me and my CB
No way is the CB1100 heavy . . . my Road Glide Ultra weighs 929 pounds. I had a BMW R1100RT that weighed 622 pounds, not astonishingly heavier than the CB, but carried its weight higher and so felt heavier (not that it was a bad handler or scary at low speed, but you knew the potential was there for a tipover).
I'd call the CB well-mannered and well-balanced.

RE: Me and my CB
The heaviness question is a matter of perspective, for sure. Compared to a full-dress Harley, Honda or BMW, sure, it's lighter. But with its steel frame, it'll never qualify as a light bike. One of my bikes makes a bit more hp but weighs 130 lbs less, even with bags and trunk. Still, I love my DLX just the same. It's all good.
Ride more. Worry less.

RE: Me and my CB
Whenever I think that my 2016 CB1100A might be too heavy for me I counter with another thought, “no darling, you are perfect the way you are.”

It'a amazing the love this bike inspires. You're obviously covering some miles!
As for weight, I only have much of a sense of it when rolling it around the garage. At 6' and 195#, the bike fits me well. You could say we're both a little "full figured." (Remember those Jane Russel commercials for cross-your-heart bras?)

This is the second time recently that my lol has literally been LOL. The previous time was when Flynrider dubbed VLJ "VealJay". (To be honest, if I were cool enough to pull off a nickname like VealJay I would be insanely jealous.)
