Would a stock seat cb1100 from either '13 or '14 fit a '17 ex?

RE: stock seats compatible between years
All my Corbin seats from the 3 years are interchangeable , so I do not see a problem with the stock seats from the different years .

RE: stock seats compatible between years
I've done some research on this subject myself as I plan on fitting a '17 EX seat on my '14 DLX....

From what I've gathered, seats from varying years should be interchangeable as far as mounting. However, due to the varying sizes and relative shape differences at the base of the tank between the '13/'14 Standard, '14 DLX & '17 EX/RS models, there may be slight aesthetic and clearance differences at the front.

That being said, I think the differences would only be noticeable when going between a Standard model OEM seat and DLX/EX bike or vice-versa.

I would suggest doing some further searching on this subject as I seem to recall a lot of discussion along these lines when the 2014 DLX first appeared.

I think you are correct.
I replaced my 14.6 L tank with 16.8 L/ 2014 white EX tank from Japan/Takaski
At that time, he mentioned about slight interference with my seat and suggested putting a soft cloth in between.
Fitment of 16.8 L tank was so perfect , and I had to do nothing.
Hope this helps to support your findings

Peter, is your bike a standard or deluxe?

I was told the new tanks won’t work with the std seat.

RE: stock seats compatible between years
I noticed on Samurider, that Takashi mentions that the limited edition brown RS seat can be retrofitted to previous year DLX and EX models only. Conversely, I see there is a special "EX Style" seat that is only for pre-2017 standard models (probably shaped/sized like the stock standard seat).

Using that info to answer the original poster's question, I would think the '14 DLX seat and '17 RS/EX seats are
a good match for swaps but maybe not so much when putting a standard seat on a 2017....

Would say standard = 1 ex. pipe... we never had deluxe in Canada as far as 2013-16 are concerned. First dual ex. pipe was 2017.
My tank is NOT seamless, looks like 2013-16 models...just bigger
