RE: headlight adapter
For providing any CB1100 with a much better headlight in terms of light output (Lumen) and distribution of the light cone, ...
Web!ke (written with a !), link here, seems to offer a cost effective solution for all CB models, old and new, DLX, EX and other. It consists of a package with all parts you need to convert your existing light (LED or Halogen !) into a light using a LED bulb, which looks similar to (but is not a) H4 bulb. For older models of our CB1100 all you need is this kit, for more recent models like the EX you need to buy the older style headlight unit too.
I found the following prices ex S&H, ex import duties:
- package (independent of CB model) 173 €
- headlight unit (Honda part # 33120-MAZ-003) 78 €
(not needed for earlier CB models)

Other parameters: color temperature 6000K, power draw hi beam or low beam 30W.

When you go to their website, all you need to do is put above mentioned Honda part number into the search field, and you will see all options.

Beware, you have to read carefully, not be afraid of fuzzy translations from Japanese, and take your time before you order. But compared to other solutions I have seen it seems to be plug-n-play, and good value for money.

RE: headlight adapter
J3 might want to check your link, it leads to a "buy this domain" website, is that what you wanted?
Here is a link to an led headlight replacement;
https://japan.webike.net/products/24047115.html
From webike, i advise to read the comments at the bottom of the list, is this the led headlight you advised about?

My led h4 replacement has just expired after 1,5 years, a little shorter than the advertised 10.000 hours.
Got a double set of r3 h4 led lights advertised as 4800lm at 6000k, it worked well when it did and passed inspection
but the led die failed and emitted only a very faint white light, the controller box still worked and the high beam still worked so i replaced it with a standard h4 halogen lamp which has a predictable lifespan and is relatively cheap, you can even carry a spare if you want to replace on the run.

sometimes i get lucky, and the more i practice the luckier i getCool

RE: headlight adapter
Corrected link is https://www.webike.co.at/, thanks Max.
If you use this link from another country it will/should take you to the same shop, with a country specific url, (unless you use a VPN).

No Max, the specific product link you gave is NOT the product I have found and described. Please try again using the little procedure I have given above (search with Honda part #). This will let you find 7 upgrade packages by a company called Protec (model specific, with bulb, harness, clamps, etc) and the optional headlight bucket mentioned. Still seems a good solution BUT ...

Sorry to hear that the solution you tried didn't work out for you, Of course I cannot say anything about that, or about the lifespan of the product I found advertised.

RE: headlight adapter
Thanks for the new link but it now comes up with" url not found"
However if i follow my link and enter the product code 33120-MAZ-003 in the search field it shows a webpage which looks like this;

That looks to be the product you mean, it shows a honda part number and the protec products, i guess you have to buy one of the protec products and add the 33120-MAZ-003 part following your guidelines depending on the model year to complete the installation, here is a link to the page that worked for me;
https://japan.webike.net/ps/33120-MAZ-00...20-MAZ-003

The two units are on the bottom of the page with the description of the product, no reviews yet.
The lifespan and reliability of the fan on the back of the led unit is what would worry me as well as the possibility that wiring could touch the fan blades and stop operation without you realizing what is happening
Here is a picture of my expired led unit, it worked very well when it was still working but it had a very short lifespan of maybe 500 hours unfortunately;

Thanks for all the info and happy motoring J3..

RE: headlight adapter
Indeed, the second picture where it says;

"Here is a picture of my expired led unit, it worked very well when it was still working but it had a very short lifespan of maybe 500 hours unfortunately;"

is the nice led replacement unit i had installed on my cb1100, it had good feedback and passive cooling braids which were routed to be outside of the headlight bucket along with the control unit for cooling purposes.
They only got lukewarm during use, i checked many times but the led die ( the little light emitting semiconductor ) still failed well within the advertised period, however the high beam still worked fine as did the little control box.

So the unit did not meet the expectation in the real world unfortunately but like i mentioned it was very good when it worked, cheers.
