Wine Run!
A spectacular day in the Northern California Wine Country, perfect for a wine run through the Napa, Knight's, Alexander and Dry Cree Valleys. Came home with a few Zinfandels, Cabernets and an excellent Meritage.
The attached photo was taken at the intersection on Skellenger Lane and the Silverado Trail. The mustard is in bloom while vines are being pruned and tended to. The CB was flawless as always.

I love this picture. It tells a story by itself.

A CB1100. A top box full of bottles of wine, lightly agitated. A glorious day.

Heaven on a stick!

My old stomping grounds. Jack London territory, there.

The Wolf House burned down right after it was finished; no one ever lived there. "Ulvetanna" translates as "Wolf Fang", one of many sled dogs in his stories.

I remember those runs with much fondness. Use to ride my FJR 1300 from Burlingame to Andrertti. Always enjoyed the ride!

nice place and subject Jeff.
having some Duplin Scuppernong wine here and grew up making wine.
My family was making ethanol before the government even got involved in it......

The best part about growing up in Florida is i didn't have to move here when i got old.

RE: Wine Run!
I thought a wine run was what guys did with their two-strokes sitting in the garage in the wintertime back in the day.

You know, the four stroke guys would sit there on the bike looking at the snow piled up outside the window and go "vroom, vroom, vroom". The two-stroke guys on the other hand would go "wiiine, wiiine, wiiine" (or the MX'ers that would go "braaaAAAAPP!"). Big Grin

Obviously this was more prevalent in the northern states as opposed to California, where you just go for a ride instead.

RE: Wine Run!
In my day, a whine run was what owners of British bikes did as they sat in their garage with their pride and joy in bits all around them while their mates with Japanese bikes went riding.
