Light weight helment?
Im looking for a lightweight fullface helmet. I have 2 discs in my neck that are pretty much gone. Its a daily pain I live with, but thats life. I would like to get any opinions on a light weight full face helmet.I would love a half helmet but for some reason I cant breath at speeds over 40mph. Not sure why, but I have always been this way. Weird I know - Blush

At speed, I think a full face feels lighter than a half. I suspect it's because the air flows around it better. I think I read that the new Shoei RF1200 is very light and very aerodynamic. Happy helmet hunting.

Hi ken, you might want to check out the Biltwell Gringo. I have one and am very happy with the fit and finish. Very light and you can wear it open, with glasses, goggles, flat or bubble shield. Built in the USA if that matters to you. You might also want to consider the Bell Bullitt which is in pretty sales right now if you want a pivoting shield. Both are Dot approved.

I was thinking of the Gringo as a second helmet for myself. Glad to hear that it's not heavy. Love the retro look of it...especially with goggles. Smile
