Funny...I was there today!

Congrats on the purchase...an eye pleasing maching, indeed!

Actually, that's Triumph of Seattle, near Green Lake.

RE: 2018 Bonnie Speedmaster
I'm really impressed with how far and deep Triumph has taken its Modern Classic line. To me, they (and HD) have successfully executed on something that other manufacturers simply pay homage to. Rather than design modern interpretations of bikes from yesteryear, like the Z900RS, because that's what in fashion, I think their bikes are the real deal -- genuine, authentic, classic motorcycles. And it's not just one bike in their line-up, like the CB1100. It's a whole range of models and displacements. I may not be a customer, but I like it.

Stated another way, I expect Kawasaki to continue to offer the Z900RS for only as long as modern-retro remains fashionable in the marketplace and they're able to move enough units to justify the model. But I see Triumph as having a much deeper commitment, and while their bikes do appeal to current fashion, I think they're here to stay.

Ride more. Worry less. Tongue

Congrats on the purchase of the new Speedy Thumbs Up Thumbs Up
As you have commented, the Triumph seems a bit rough compared to the CB1100. I notice the same thing when I ride my Bonneville.
I didn't have to get rid of a bike to get the CB so I still have the best of both worlds - a seamless smoothie and a less smooth experience when I ride the Bonnie - not that the Bonnie isn't quite smooth, just not as smooth and refined as the Honda - and that's to be expected.
Both are a delight to ride in their own way and I wouldn't part with either.
Enjoy.

Still rockin', rollin', and ridin' after all these years

More importantly, where is that trade-in DLX? It's not offered on their website yet.

I have no idea what they're doing with it. Last I heard, it was going to another bike shop north of Seattle that specializes in used bikes. I imagine it will show up sooner or later.

Congrats on the new Triumph.. I’m very interested in hearing more about it .. it’s somewhat self-serving as I have a serious Jones for the bobber black..

It’s the same as the speedmaster but with a different tail.. I bought my cb100 to be my “man about town” or do everything bike.. I love the FB, but it’s become more of my “fun” bike, and I’ve been busy modding (see sig file).. So I’d keep it for purpose stuff, but use the triumph locally..

'13 cb1100 came with black grab rails, headlight & side covers, hagofuku front/rear fenders, and cats eye blinkers.Added by me: Staintune Slip-on, Moriwaki sliders, Sport Trunk Seat, Lucas black taillight

Hard to see it go, but too excited about being back on a Triumph again to let it stop me in the end. I blame (give thanks to) Stichill for this whole thing...had he not posted the first press photo here months ago, I'm not sure this would have ever happened.
İmage

Ha! Clap I was dormant on this forum for a while and just stumbled across this. Congratulations - what a beautiful motorcycle!

I'm curious what kind of range per (3.2 US gallon / 12 liter) tank you're getting now that you've been living with it for a while?

belated congrats on actually having a triumph dealership in your area. i was thinking of travelling to test some of them out back when i bought my CB, but i came to the conclusion that if the dealership is so far away, who the heck is going to do my maintenance/repair? we are not so cultured on our euro brands here in the southeast.
