Lurker here
Greetings, everyone.

I'm in San Angelo, Texas, but I'm selling my stuff, pulling up stakes, and traveling around for a bit. One of the things I sold was my 2003 Nighthawk 750, so I'm currently bikeless. I've been looking at the 1100 since it was announced, and that may be my next bike.

Without an 1100, or any bike at all, I probably can't contribute much to the conversation here, but I expect to learn a lot to help me decide if the 1100 will be my next ride.

Bikeless huh? How long you traveling for? Maybe Honda will sell the CB11 in a different color when you are done...

Welcome to the forum talespin!

Small world, I've got family in San Angelo. Sounds like that town is going through a lot of changes these days.

Wishing you safe travels,
Guth

Hey Talespin,

Long time no see Big Grin Stick around and maybe we'll convince you that you need to do some of that travelling on a CB11!

I don't think I'm going to land anywhere permanently for 6 - 8 months, though that could change on the fly. And permanently for me seems to be 1 - 2 years.

I like the red. I'd be happy with that, or white, or blue, or yellow . . . almost any color but black.

Thanks! I grew up in Alexandria and Annandale, lived in Springfield for a while. Still miss Virginia.

Thanks! I've been in San Angelo for only 2 years, so I don't recognize a lot of the changes. The real estate market is booming because of the Cline Shale, so it seems like a good time to escape the heat, dust, and drought of West Texas.

Welcome. What kind of traveling around are you doing? Purposeful or aimless?

Mostly aimless, but I'll be visiting friends and family for a while. They're scattered around the country so I've got some territory to cover!

Always wanted to do something like that, never had the balls to go without a steady paycheck and a guaranteed roof over my head.

Good luck with your travels.

Thanks. I'm retired, single, and childless, so I have a lot of freedom.
