Todays weather
I remember a Siberian blast the spring of 1989 of 1 week or more -60F. Man that was cold. I took a job in Africa after that

I don't really like too much cold any more. I got me a really good BMW 2-piece setup from 2000, still in perfect condition, 3/4-length jacket with crap load of pockets and full Goretex liners for the zip-together pants.

You put in those Goretex liners and then add another layer or two (I like the Freeze-out stuff from Cycle Gear) it keeps you really warm to a pretty low temperature. I've got a little larger windshield on my F800GS, and heated grips. But if it got too much below freezing I'd need to hook up the old Widder vest.

As The ferret pointed out in another thread a while back, the whole thing of having to layer up, and the mobility issue, starts to impede the ability to ride so I don't really do that any more. That's snow machine weather.

RE: Todays weather
26 degrees right now ( feels like 16 ) heading to a high of 31. But today is going to be about 10 degrees warmer than tomorrow.

For the record I hate cold, hate it. I'd much rather prefer 50's, or 60's or 70's than 30's. However the sad fact is, I live here, and 3 months of the year our average low is just below 30 and average high right around 40 and with a fairing and electrics that's doable. I dont think I could live where it gets much below that or much higher then the 90s. I could be talked into being a snowbird and spend New Years to April someplace warmer and with less snow than here though lol.

Wonder if we have any members in Casper Wyo. I see on the news it's - 28 there right now. Now that's cold and definitly not motorcycle weather.

Overcast and chilly/cold today with temp hitting close to 50 early before dropping rapidly with the wind picking up. Might be time to drop in on Nemo for a few weeks.

Ha but his profile didn't say that the other day it just said "Australia" I see he has changed it doggone it. going twitter style today.

Wasn't the whole joint called NSW at one point back in the day? Oh heck I'll just search it.

I see it's a state in Australia. Only things I know about Australia I learned from Crocodile Dundee and Johnny Depp. Aussies are warm and direct, I have heard lol ROFLBeerBeer

Most of the Aussies I have met (not all) are a bit crazy and ride motorcycles very fast, but are very friendly.

I like the "not all" part so as to allow you to claim plausible deniability in the event that Cormanus or Pterry says you are referring to one of them.
