CB1100 on the streets in Shawnee OK
I had been talking to a guy at the local Honda dealer about trading in my Venture on a smaller bike. I was considering a Shadow, but was not thrilled by any of the V twins out there. It was cold that day and I waited a few weeks until it warmed up a bit. Then one day March 28 I went online to see what bikes they had up there, new or used. I could not believe it when I saw the CB1100. I have been looking for a nice inline four for a long time and here it was. I went up that day and found the fellow I had been talking to and the 1100 was right in front of the door. It was the only 1100 they had and they just got it put together. It had 0 miles on it. Maybe .3 or something like that. I sat on it and they rolled it outside and I rode it. That was all it took. Sounds good smells good feels good. I am HAPPY with it.
It has Dunlop SportMax touring tires, and a low tech plastic sprocket cover that works just fine. Stainless steel quiet 4 into 1 exhaust. I think the engineers and everyone at Honda did a good job, but that's just my opinion.

Is the SF-Y X11 correct for this bike?

Just noticed that's how it is listed on Fuelly.com
OK looking around on the internet, X11 looks like a crotch rocket. I guess I selected the wrong cb1100 on fuelly. Stay tuned, Maybe I dreamt that.

Welcome aboard johnnymac. I believe the new CB1100 is SC65, not X11. Standard Disclaimer: I could be mistaken.

Exactly! I agree. Over 100 miles now, and still smells good when she gets warmed up.

"Standard Disclaimer: I could be mistaken."

My standard disclaimer is "Maybe it didn't happen, maybe I dreamt it"

Of course, I could be mistaken.

OK Guth it looks like you are right. I googled SC65 images and the bike shows up there. The SF-Y X11 is a race bike. I hope the insurance lady knows the difference. Or does it matter?

Welcome!!

My CB11 is cheaper to insure than my '12 CBR600RR (now sold), so it looks like the insurance industry knows what this bike is, and priced it accordingly.
