I told him $3300 for my cherry Italian built '06 CB600F6, he offered me $2500 for it with no charge for freight or set up of the CB1100, Just Tax and license. I probably suck as a barterer. Any intuitive suggestions?

MSRP on the '14 Standard is $10,399. If they are knocking off $524, and the set up charges, sounds like a good deal to me on a new model.

I'm no expert at these things, just buy it, you will like it, I know that much. Smile.

Cheers.

Welcome MFGUSA. I took a 2013 CB1100 for a ride last Nov and a few days after that ride I traded in a 2009 Royal Star Tour Deluxe in on it. I hope you enjoy the new CB as much as I enjoy mine.

Yeah, I think its a fair deal. I could get more for my trade if I sell it, but probably not too much more.

You can always walk in and say "look we are really close to making this deal, meet me in the middle and it's a done deal."

Might be worth a couple hun to ya.

I asked the Dealer if "Cash" had any pull and he said 'sure, I'll give you another $200 off". Now I would figure that there is more money to be made through financing but who am I to argue. My wife actually suggested that I ask him that, and I was quite surprised he took it. Must have still been some "wiggle" room there.

I put $200.00 down to hold it and she will arrive at the dealer early this week!

Count me in Guys!!

Welcome aboard, good move Sir! Beer

I traded in my 2006 FZ6N Yamahardlyeverrodeit for mine. Got less than I paid for it but that's life. Still £450 more than the uninterested KTM dealer offered me against a Duke 690!

You will ADORE the bike, it's like a big cuddly Hornet 600 with more character and torque!

I put over 16000 miles on my American Hornet and most of it the first 4 years. Not being canted forward like on a FZR allowed me to drive past the city limits. The reason I purchased it was because they didn't make the CB1100 and it is absolutely what I have been looking for!.

Amen, I waited 8 years for the CB1100. It was worth the wait!
