i'm thrilled tickled pink that we have the variety that we now have, I want them all, it's because of this board and the then possibilities that I decided on a 2013, now I can buy and embellish with something from the 2014 model if I want, If I was to be disappointed about something, it would be the lack of spoke wheels, I can't wait till I see real time pictures here.

Unrealistic, but wouldnt it be cool if you could order one, just the way you like it..color, brake option, trans option, wheel option, exhaust option etc etc

Yes, unrealistic indeed but I could certainly cherry pick items from the '13 and the '14 and come up with one I like even more! As far as the comparison between the 3 models it is really different strokes for different folks!Thumbs Up Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! The good news is we have choices! The ferret

The headlight is tucked up closer to the instruments, the engine and wheels are all silver, the seat is taller and stitched differently, the exhaust is 4 into 2, and the tank is bigger. Additionally, the instrument cluster is totally different, including a gear position indicator, and the transmission includes an extra gear.

Aesthetically, I prefer the older one (the headlight position of the new one seems weird -- actually, also don't care for the new side covers), otherwise everything else is great and a good step forward.

Very cool. If you think about it, try to get pictures of the centerstand tang. I'm thinking I'll eventually try to buy the 2014 dual exhausts, but I believe I'd need to get a new centerstand also.

In regards to my earlier post, I am very happy to see the two new versions for 2014. It will bring in more aftermarket parts and accessories. The 2014 looks more like the CB750 of old. Honda was listening to it customers and added a lot of up grades everyone wanted and was adding from the aftermarket. So it's good for everyone. Beer

Think about how lucky we are..over on the ST forum they have been begging for some upgrade to the ST 1300 for like 10 years now and Honda isn't even changing the color of them lately. For us 3 different versions of the CB 1100 in 2 years!

RE: Motorcycle Daily - 2014 CB1100 Deluxe
Quote from the Motorcycle Daily article:

the 2013 CB1100 had some design quirks that annoyed purists, such as the black wheels, blacked-out engine cooling fins, odd shape to the tank and side panel (which was not color matched) and four-into-one exhaust system.

Honda remedies all this (some owners were even spending big bucks to do it on their own last year) with the 2014 CB1100 Deluxe

Phil - I'd buy the 2014 Deluxe in a heartbeat if I wasn't one of those owners who spent big bucks on their 2013 model (over $6000 and counting in my case).
