Dang it, dang it, dang it! I was going to buy a black standard to go with my black sidecar but I can't stand it. The DLX is too perfect. It has everything I want! I'm going to have the tank and side panels painted black. Love those silver wheels, engine and 4 into 2 pipes!

Bugger me!* Has Buffalohead got a black sidecar? I didn't know. I've got a black 2011 Honda CB1100. Here the sidecar goes on the left-hand side of the bike so it doesn't hide the exhaust system.

I don't have a sidecar though. Big Grin

*Australian expression of amazement.

Well, you guys are lucky. I waited for ever to see if we would get a black model, only to find it's really TOO black. You guy's had the good black all along, without the black engine and wheels. Now I will end up painting a red one anyway because the DLX has all the features I really want. FWIW, it would drive me crazy having the sidecar on the left side! For one thing, I learned to get on the bike from the left. I do like the exhaust side though. BTW, you should see my new 2014 Indian Chief with a sidecar. It's fantastic!

All of you should see my friend's CB with a sidecar. It would explain why we like them so much. If you could see the pics, you would see why these bikes are the perfect sidecar bikes and why it's worth the wait. Sidecar guys should and usually do realize most riders don't appreciate sidecars. That's what sidecar forums are for. I didn't intend to waste your time. Of course I realize I'm the only one on this forum who gives a rip about sidecars! I will express my enthusiasm on the sidecar forum from now on. Have fun! I'm sure I will! Hello

Dang! I hadn't thought of that. Even us lot mostly mount from the left-hand side. I blame horses.

As the Ferret would say: pictures, Buffalohead, pictures!!!

Please see above: pictures, Buffalohead, pictures!!! I would really like to see them. I'd also like to see pictures of your CB with sidecar once you bring it all together.

Don't mind the out of towners! You are not wasting their time. If they had something better to do they wouldn't be posting in forums. You don't have to go somewhere else, your sidecar is welcomed here. In fact diversity is key. But truth be told there is not a single picture of a CB with a side car in this forum, or any sidecar for that matter and "a picture is worth a thousand words." Let us see what a CB looks like with a sidecar, perhaps you will inspire others to catch on. Just remember that on certain parts of the world the toilets flush backwards. I have to say that freaked me out the first time I saw it. Huh

I'm with you Buffalohead, while some guys like the total monotone effect, I definitely prefer the Silver engine and wheels on the black models. I like the contrast it provides.

I'm really not one to try and convince people to stick around when they want to publicly announce their departure. But in this case I do believe you're overreacting by lumping all of us into one group with a single opinion. I personally found your pursuit of a CB1100 to go with your sidecar rig to be rather fascinating as it obviously added another layer of complexity to your purchasing decisions.

I saw your post earlier today eluding to the fact that you were going to go with the DLX option after all. Honestly, I was planning on poking fun at this myself a bit, only because I've had a feeling for a while now that this might be what you would end up doing. I wasn't planning on doing this with the intentions to be rude or to drive you away, but more to have a bit of a laugh with you as you must be relieved to finally have made your decision. I really would like to see how things turn out with your project when all is said and done. Whether you stick around and keep us posted on things or not, I'm sure that your new black and silver CB1100 is going to look pretty darn slick with the sidecar and will be the envy of quite a few other sidecar enthusiasts.

@Buffalohead - What Sanpete said. Except that there are pictures of a CB with a side car in this forum... as you know.

I've been holding out for a color other than red, but I agree the black 2014 model is way too blacked out. I'll more than likely end up with a red 2014 model at some point too, because I love everything about the new CB Deluxe... except the color.
