Thanks to everybody!

The bike isn't a test model from dealer, it's from a great client that buys and sells bikes very fast. Enjoyed the cb1100 some months and then changed for another bike.

This is the bike but now has engine guard bars (rare?)

Hello Ruben and welcome.
I'm not sure you'll find much wrong with the bike after 2100 km - it's a Honda!

Just make sure it's not been crashed Thumbs Up

RE: New from Barcelona
Hi all! Monday tested the bike and all I can say that's amazing... but I have issues with the weight and the height of the seat. I'm only 167cm. I other hand I'm a Sh300i user and not a big bike rider so it's possible that I need some accommodation... In other hand, yesterday I tested the Triumph Bonneville with better feeling about height and weight but disappointed with the ergonomics without a big biking history I can see that quick...

Tomorrow afternoon I'll be back on the CB1100 for a new test.

It's a good bike for daily? I do a short city travel to work less than 4 kilometres 2 or 4 times every day depending on the shift...

RE: New from Barcelona
There's lots of talk on this forum about the weight of the CB1100. It is heavy. Every time I go to put in on the side stand when there's a bit of a slope and it leans a bit further than I expect, I get very nervous about being able to hold it up. I'm not tall and can't put both feet flat on the ground when I'm sitting on it. I can get one foot flat and my toes on the other side.

But as soon as the bike gets moving, it feels as light as a feather, even at relatively low speeds. It's truly a delight to ride.

It seems to me weight and height are things you may have to live with in a larger capacity road bike.

I'll leave it to others to comment on it's utility as a commuter, although my suspicion is that it may depend on the nature of the commute. If there's a lot of stopping and starting the lighter bikes may be more comfortable. If you don't have to stop much, the CB would be great.

By the way, the bike looks lovely.

RE: New from Barcelona
You know when I first started riding I rode a 50 cc street bike. At the time I thought a 160 was big. Then I got a 160 and after a couple weeks it seemed right, but holy cow a 350 was huge. After I got a 350 and had it a couple weeks it seemed right and 750 was omg...huge. Well in the end Ive ridden everything up to and including my ST 1300. What Im saying is what seems huge at first feel normal in a very short time.

The 1100 is actually pretty small for such a large bike if thats makes sense. It is an 1100, but it seems 750 sized.

I might add I am not a large man at 5'6" .

Good for you, glad it went well. Good luck with purchase.

We haven't had a 400/4 here since 1977 I think. Post up a pic of it if you will.

Hola, Ruben!
Bienvenido desde Fort Worth Texas.

You will get used to the size of the bike, it is heavy, and you will have to acclimate a little, particularly at low speeds. As others have said, once you are moving, the CB1100 is very agile. The bike makes a great commuter, in my opinion. I do a courier service part time, I use my CB1100 whenever possible, the bike is very easy to ride in traffic, stop and go, etc.

Compra el moto y descansar! (did I spell that correctly?).

All of a sudden I'm hungry for tapas! I would so love to go back to Spain some day.

Buena Suerte Ruben

Gee the decisions made by manufacturers are interesting. We've had the CB400 four in Aus. It's been popular here, I think. I rode one one day as a lent from the bike shop when my Shadow was being serviced. It was lots of fun, although I didn't like the forward-leaning riding position all that much.

There's a young woman writing a blog, posted on a generalist Australian bike forum, about her journey learning to ride on a CB400. She's doing a great job.

It's interesting, I reckon; in my day a 400cc bike would have been seen as enormous for a start out bike.

Oh, good luck with the purchase, Ruben.
