Allen, thanks for the great how-to. I just did the swap to Type II bars today and the process went smoothly thanks to having read this thread b4. Those CB500 mirrors look pretty sharp, might get me a set too! Big Grin

This trick for the removing the left side grip really works well. I made my "tool" from a coat hanger.
