AMA
Anyone an AMA member, if so have you used their roadside assistance? I'm thinking about dropping Allstate assistance and supporting the cause. I cannot find info on how many miles they will tow before you have to start paying. I like both because they will tow any vehicle you own RV, car or motorcycle. AMA is about 50 bucks(you get towing if you do automatic yearly payment) and Allstate 100+. Thanks.

RE: AMA
I no longer belong to the AMA, but Gabe Ets-Hokin over on motorcycledaily.com just wrote a piece about a 350 Honda cafe racer he just built that broke down often and AMA towing towed him home multiple times

To quote:

Seriously, I think I’ve ridden my CB 1200 miles in 24 months. It’s not for lack of trying, and my AMA account (did you know you get virtually unlimited free tows if you’re an AMA member with recurring billing? Call 1-800-AMA-JOIN or visit the website) shows it: I’ve had many tows home. ..........

I have AAA plus RV which tows my cars, bikes, and or trailer as needed up to 150 miles I believe

RE: AMA
I've belonged to the AMA for years... not for the towing but for the general support they give to the sport. I have motorcycle tow as a part of my AAA membership and have used them many times for car support, but never for my bikes. I also have tow insurance as part of my HOG membership, but again have never needed it. Guess I've been lucky. I'd check out their Website...

RE: AMA
I have roadside assistance, including towing, through my insurance carrier (Progressive). It's $10/year for all my bikes (2).

RE: AMA
Been AMA member for almost 40 years. life member for 20 years. It might not be perfect, but it's the only organization we have. The AMA has lobbied for, and been responsible for attaining some very positive motorcycle rider rights.

RE: AMA
Everyone here should belong to the AMA. 50 bucks a year is only a buck a week or only 14 cents a day.
